We in ABS global smart school korattur decided to expose students to the beauty and deeper aspects of mathematics. Hence Mathematics day was celebrated at ABSKT on 22nd December with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebrations aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of mathematics and the contributions made Dr. Srinivasan Ramanujan, in the field of mathematics. Several initiatives were taken by the department coordinators to motivate, enthuse, and inculcate a positive attitude towards learning mathematics among this younger generation kids .A special expo was conducted displaying many models , charts and many activities were conducted by our students inculcating mathematics knowledge among them . Our Director General Academics Dr.C Satish sir, appreciated the efforts of the students. A special speech was delivered explaining the significance of mathematics and about the great mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan. Finally, the Math Day was an enriching experience for all the participants and the visitors.

Christmas day was celebrated at ABS-KT on 22nd December 2023 in a grand manner. Respected Director General- Academics, Dr.C. Satish, Principal Mrs. Gowri Dinesh, Headmistress Mrs. Anusha Aravind and KG coordinator Mrs. Geetha were the dignitaries present. The program commenced with an excellent speech on Christmas and it's significance. A melodious song performance was given by the teachers followed by a splendid dance by the tiny tots of Kindergarten. Students also performed angelic medley of Christmas Carols. A colourful classical dance and rocking western dance was showcased. Students performed the Nativity skit to explain the birth of Christ. The program came to an end with a christmas wish.

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated at ABS GLOBAL SMART SCHOOL, KORATTUR, on 15th September 2023 with great enthusiasm. To mark the beginning of the festive mood, the whole stage was beautifully decorated with flowers and charts. The magnificent idol of Ganesha decorated with flowers brought a feel of spirituality among the audience. The aroma of the flowers along with the flagrance of incense sticks filled the environment with peace and positivity. The Pooja began at 09.30am when the idol of Lord Ganesha was venerated by all the members. Fruits, Modhakas and Sweets were offered to Lord Ganesha. To charge the whole atmosphere with a divine feel, students of Grade I and II recited slokas and the KG students disguised themselves as different Gods and Goddesses. The students performed an obeisance classical dance followed by the melodious song praising the existence of Lord Ganesha. Our beloved Headmistress Mrs. Anusha Aravind sang a melodious song praising Lord Ganesha. The speech given by Mr. Chandrasekar highlighted the importance of celebrating this festival. A scintillating dance performance was given by our students of Class VI to IX. Finally, vote of thanks was delivered by our Principal Mrs. Gowri Dinesh. The program concluded with positive vibes all around.

To seek the blessings of lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated as ABSKT, with mirth and joy. Sweeter than honey, taster than curd, pleasantar indeed our little toddlers disguised themselves at little krishnas and Radhas to fill the stage. Special pooja was performed by our senior teachers with the presence of a heads.

The fragrance of flowers, soothing Aroma of camphor, and the Jingle bell filled the air. Cultural events such as dance and music were organised traditionally to spread spirituality. Along with this to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan teacher's day was also celebrated at ABSKT with great pomp and grandeur. The students with whole heart greeted their teachers and showed their gratitude. students performed various cultural activities like song and dance to reveal their gratitude towards them.. A special speech was delivered by our grade 9 students portraying the dedication and sacrifice of a teacher with a note to glorify their works . The presence of our secretary Dr. Shakti balasundaram sir made the events so special. He enjoyed and graced the occasion which made us feel more glorified.

Raksha Bandhan in Sanskrit means ‘bond of protection’. We are happy to share that our students of ABS Global Smart School - Korattur celebrated Raksha Bandhan enthusiastically by tying Rakhi to their siblings, taking arthi and praying for their good health and prosperity. A Special assembly was conducted where the significance of the Rakhi festival was shared by our students. The celebration ended with the exchange of sweets and gifts, bonded with love and affection between the brothers and sisters.

Onam, the festival of happiness peace and prosperity was celebrated with great zest at ABS Global Smart School, Korattur. A well planned event was organised by our students and teachers that had a blend of culture, tradition and history that all had mesmerized. Dance by our little toddlers of KG and speeches added loads of information which gave a crisp of celebrating this festival. Our Secretary, Dr. Sakthi Balasundaram took part in the event that was organised by the KG department and enjoyed the program thoroughly. The little star of KG disguised as Mahabali, the mythical beloved king of Kerala stole the event. Another attraction of the day was the 'pookalam' competition that was held housewise. The house masters and the team members took immense efforts for the successive outcome of their pookolams. Thiruvathirakali were performed by a students as well as the teachers which brought the cultural vibe with eternal bliss. Finally the day ended with lots of good vibes and enjoyment.

Independence Day was celebrated on August 15th with great enthusiasm and respect at our school campus. The school decorated with tricolour - saffron, white and green balloons and flags welcomed the eyes of all to the function. The ceremony started at 8:30 AM in the school open ground, with the staff, students and parents gathered to witness the celebration. To commemorate the sovereignty of our Nation, our Secretary, Dr. S. Sakthi Balasundaram unfurled the tricolour flag and our students in unison sang the Flag song & Vande Matharam and expressed the joy of our freedom. The welcome address was given by Mrs. Gowri Dinesh, Principal. Students gave speeches in English, Tamil & Hindi enlightening everyone about our 76 years of Independence & about those heroes of our nation who sacrificed their lives for our independence. The Presidential Address was given by our Secretary where he rekindled the spirit of freedom, exhorted the students to follow the ideals of the great people & advised the students to become ideal citizens of the country.

Our students of ABS Group of Schools enthusiastically took part in the BRITTO – Interschool Competition 2023 – 2024 that was held on the 3rd and 4th of August 2023 at AM Jain College, Meenambakkam. Intellectual competitions and cultural events were conducted where our students exhibited their talents in various fields like dance, music, drama, cooking, paper presentation, oratory, writing, drawing, entertainment, law, game development etc. We feel extremely proud to share that our students have bagged the 2nd place in Overall Championship & have won a cash award of Rs. 10000/- amongst nearly 35 top city schools that participated in the contests. They have also won more than 50 shield certificates for their achievements. At ABS Group of Schools, we believe that extra-curricular activities are equally important to academics since it gives our students an opportunity to explore different areas of interest, increase self-confidence, build leadership skills and even improve grades — all while having fun! It also helps in developing strong communications skills (or introversion), experiencing what it’s like being on stage with an audience watching him/her. Additionally, it improves their time management skills & makes them ready for the future.

The game of chess is similar to our lives in such a way, they alter the course with every move we make. International Chess Day was celebrated at ABS Global Smart School, Korattur to make every student understand the comprehensive benefits of chess. Events were conducted to raise awareness about the significance of this highly intellectual game. Friendly chess competitions were conducted to break the barriers of language, age, gender and social status among the students. What makes it a nail-biting match is that we never know what move comes the next and each player has to consider all the different alternatives of their opponents. This universal game gives our students the attributes and qualities of planning, strategic thinking, decision making and problem solving which will all make them the future stakeholders of our country. Thus, we shall not only keep the elegant tradition of chess but make chess the most popular sports in the world!

​To acknowledge the contribution and to honor our saviour’s effort, Doctors’ Day was celebrated at ABS Global Smart School, Korattur with great zeal on 1st July 2023. The occasion commemorates the spirit of doctors across the globe who work day and night to ensure the well being of patients. So, as a token of gratitude, our students celebrated it in various ways. Drawing competition was held to depict the role and importance of doctors in the society. Students from Grade IV - IX took part in the competition in a sportive manner and displayed their talents. Kindergarten students disguised themselves as doctors and gave a speech on the importance of Doctors’ Day. A role play between a doctor and patient by Advita of Grade VI and Athulya of Grade III respectively instilled the spirit of becoming a doctor in every individual. Finally, the concluding speech was given by Rushanth of Grade VIII which conveyed the role and importance of doctors in our society. The celebration of Doctors’ Day indeed made an essential contribution to the overall holistic development of the students and also created awareness among the children about the importance of doctors in our lives

Our tiny tots of ABS Global Smart School, Korattur celebrated ‘Red Day’ on 28th June, Wednesday. The teachers as well as the students had dressed up beautifully in red colour clothes which made them feel bright, lively and cheerful. Red coloured props & hangings were made for the children, who were amused and happy seeing them. They spoke about their favourite red objects and it was a wonderful learning activity which helped them sort and classify objects based on colours, thereby reinforcing cognitive skills. Red goggles were given as a return gift for our lovely children. It was indeed a scintillating day with innocent faces gleaming and reflecting brightness, enthusiasm, joy, love and happiness.
